Air your clothes frequently to wash them less often. Only wash clothes in the machine when noticeably dirty and handwash won't do the job. In this case, machine-wash the garment at 40 °C. Wash the garment upside down in a low spin. Avoid washing at the same time with sharp metal parts such as zippers. A fast spin speed and metal parts strain the fabric.
Reshape the garment wet and dry it out of direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry your clothes. Iron the dry garment on the inner side of the fabric.
If the garment gets lint, use a pilling comb. Do not tear the lint off by hand.
